On 8th October 2017 (2074-06-22 B.S.) Mrs. Da Doma Sherpa gave birth a baby boy but the baby was found with the problem with respiration as well as breast feeding and refer to District Hospital for further treatment from KPHMN Heath center.
Same day child was taken to District Hospital, Phaplu. During the treat at district hospital child was feed through the nerves and different procedures were taken to improve the respiratory system of the child. But the treatment did not show any improvement in the child’s health so they refer the child to Kathmandu for further treatment.
The situation was very painful to them; due to weak financial condition and income, they are speechless. They did not have dare to take the child to Kathmandu for the treatment and decided to go back without treatment, regardless of any possibilities. Looking on their condition, the Advisor of Kushudebu Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa and the President Mr. Chungba Chhiring Lama suggested them to take the child to Kathmandu for the treatment and the cost of the treatment will be barred by Kushudebu Public Health Mission Nepal. Then the child was brought to Kathmandu together with Ms. Sherpa and her mother in law, on 9th October 2017 (2074-06-23 B.S.) by Helicopter charter. The child was taken directly to the Emergency of Child Hospital from airport.
The treatment was started. The child was kept in I.C.U. X-ray and different tests were carried out. But no improvement was seen in the child health. During the treatment, the Advisor of Kushudebu and owner of Keep Walking Nepal Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa help a lot.
As per doctors the child had in-birth diseases and suffered from Jaundice, Respiratory diseases, Pneumonia and it also gets some waste in its lungs inside mother’s womb. All efforts became effortless; the child could not be cured and passed away on 10th October 2017 (2074-06-24 B.S.). The Funeral of the child was carried out as per as the Buddhist ritual
